PS4 Title ‘Vane’ Coming Soon to PC

  • Atmospheric exploration-based gameplay.
  • Transform between crow and child.
  • Shape the world around you.

Originally slated to release on all platforms, Vane only ever ended up making it to PS4 in December of last year. Despite receiving mixed reviews for its PS4 launch, Friend and Foe Games’ indie title now has an active Steam page with a release date of “coming soon.” From its own description, Vane is described as follows:

In a ruined desert, a strange golden dust transforms a free-spirited bird into a determined young child, setting off a chain of events that will reshape the world itself. Set out on an exploratory quest, transforming between bird and child, using both perspectives to unravel the land’s mysteries and create a path forward through the barren landscape. As you do so, the world reacts to your passage, evolving and building into something altogether different.

Vane was praised for its visual storytelling, music, atmosphere, and use of the Unity Engine, but criticized for bugs and uneven level design. Perhaps in the port to PC, the bugs at least may be corrected.

Friend and Foe Games is a small company, but you can follow them to keep a closer eye on Vane and its eventual PC release date through Facebook, Twitter, and their official website.

  1. I wouldn’t count on fixing the bugs with pc port, considering how bad the pc ports are right now it most likely be even worse in this department
