‘Resident Evil’ Joins ‘Monster Hunter World’ Today

  • Customize your room with Raccoon City items.
  • More Horizon Zero Dawn coming to PlayStation 4 players.
  • More content planned for 2020.

Capcom has announced that the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne expansion will add access to event quests. Update version 11.50 will release on the 7th of November, and it brings the Resident Evil collaboration. PlayStation 4 players will also get access to the new Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds collaboration scheduled to release on the 21st of November.

As part of this special collaboration, players can gather materials from completed event missions to craft Leon a+ and Claire a+ layered armor sets. There are also three Raccoon City-themed pendants available to decorate your favorite weapons. Seeing Tyrant, Claire, and Leon from Resident Evil in this way is truly bizarre, and that’s not a bad thing. Other rewards include two new gestures. One of them allows you to shuffle like a zombie, and the other deals damage to nearby enemies with a zombie bite.

Update version 11.50 allows you to customize your room with decorations from Resident Evil. The iconic typewriter can be added, and it even allows you to save your progress. The item box from classic Resident Evil will allow you to store your gear, equipment, and other materials. Once you’ve got it to your liking, you can bring friends to visit. The Handler’s Terrifying Tyrant paid DLC transforms the woman normally in charge into Mr. X. Seeing him in the cut-scenes is hilarious.

PlayStation 4 players who are MR24 or higher will be able to craft a Light Bowgun based on Aloy’s Stormslinger Prototype from Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds. Completing the collaboration quest will reward you with special materials to craft other equipment from Sony’s exclusive. You’ll also be able to unlock a pendant that is designed after Aloy’s Focus item, and you can attack it to any weapon.

December will bring more free content to Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. New quests, themed gear to craft, and more Horizon Zero Dawn. Players will be able to build a full armor set based on the Shield-Weaver armor, embark on new event quests, and upgrade the Stormslinger weapon. You’ll also be able to craft the new Banuk armor set, and there will also be quests to upgrade Aloy’s Bow and the Felyne Watcher equipment that were available earlier.

Monster Hunter World is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Iceborne expansion is available now, with exception to PC players. They can pick it up on the 9th of January 2020. More updates and events are planned in 2020 according to Capcom, and they’ll give more details soon.
