‘The Academy’ Releasing This Spring

  • Expected to release sometime this Spring.
  • Will be available on nearly every platform.
  • Described as a puzzle adventure title in school.

Developer Pine Studio and publisher Snapbreak have announced that their puzzle adventure title The Academy is scheduled to release sometime this spring. When The Academy releases, it’ll be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, iOS, and Android. A special thank you to Gematsu for covering the information first.

The Academy aims to provide players with an adventure that’s packed with puzzles, and all within an ancient mystery for players to unravel. Your purpose of enrolling into Arbor’s Academy is to leave your mark and become the best and brightest student. This famed academy has always been the place where brilliance and mystery overlap. The developers aim to provide players with a captivating story, and challenging puzzles designed for those who love the thrill of overcoming obstacles.

You’ll be placed into the shoes of a new freshman student named Sam. It quickly becomes apparent that, yes, there are brilliant minds walking the halls of this school, but there is also a sense of dread found all around you. With the help of the friends you make, players will dive head first, and tackle these puzzles. As you progress through the story, you’ll find that every corner hides a new riddle to be solved, a new puzzle to overcome, and new light on what’s going on in The Academy. Other features are as follows:

  • Think outside the box with over 200 unique puzzles and riddles that will challenge even the most seasoned players.
  • Explore the visually gorgeous Academy with all of the secrets it holds.
  • Unravel a centuries-old mystery looming over the school and the town of Arbor.
  • Embark on an epic adventure in the vein of Professor Layton.
  • Super widescreen support – The game looks beautiful on new 18:9 phones such as Samsung S8 and LG G6. It also shines on tablet devices.

The whole thing sounds like Harry Potter, which seems to be a trend as of late.
