‘Vanquish’ and ‘Bayonetta’ Potentially Revealed for Xbox One
- Both titles come separate, or part of a bundle.
- Each title is 4K at 60 FPS.
- Information is on the Microsoft Store.
It was over a year ago that there were rumors and listings from online retailers that both Bayonetta & Vanquish were coming to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Well, Thanks to WalkingCat on Twitter, we know that the Microsoft Store has listed a Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle for Xbox One. There are also standalone listings for Bayonetta and Vanquish, and the titles are set to release on the 18th of February 2020. The titles will also more than likely be released on PlayStation 4, given each title’s history, but it’ll be interesting to see if Vanquish can find its way over to Nintendo Switch.
The Microsoft Store describes the games as commemorating the 10th anniversary of PlatinumGames’ two most celebrated titles. These two titles will both find themselves enhanced for the Xbox One X at 60 frames per second, and with 4K graphics. Players will get to experience the genesis and the birth of a phenomenon with the original action adventure Bayonetta. Get to use a wide variety of attacks, a deep combo system, and different gameplay options in this near perfect action hack and slash. You’ll see many intimidating celestial foes, and some of the genre’s most impressive bosses.
Vanquish goes on the opposite side of the spectrum when compared to Bayonetta. Those who love action oriented sci-fi shooters will feel right at home here. The story follows an overpopulated Earth that was struggling due to extremely limited resources. From here, mankind created the solar-powered space colony Providence for support. A deadly terrorist group takes over Providence, and uses its technology to destroy cities. Only a specially trained unit of space marines can reclaim the colony.
You’ll play as DARPA space soldier Sam Gideon, and you must infiltrate Providence, defeat thousands of future-tech enemies, and disable the energy transmitter threatening life on Earth. Sam is equipped with a BLADE, an experimental weapon system that can scan, copy, and save up to three existing weapons. Both titles have the following features being boasted:
- 4K graphics at 60 frames per second available for Xbox One X.
- Remastered for the first time on Xbox One.
