Sega has continued to reveal more information about Yakuza: Like a Dragon as we get closer to its release. The new information released now, centers around the five prize winners of the game’s female co-star audition, and their roles in Yakuza 7. Yakuza: Like a Dragon is expected to release on the 16th of January 2020 in Japan for PlayStation 4. The Americans and Europe will have to wait for a later date in 2020 for their version. The demo for Yakuza: Like a Dragon is now available for PlayStation 4 via the PlayStation Store in Japan.
The winner of the grand prize in the Yakuza: Like a Dragon female co-star audition was Eri Kamataki, and she’ll be able to fight alongside Ichiban Kasuga in battle as a party member. There are also four judge-recognized special prize winners who will be able to support Ichiban Kasuga as residents of Isezaki Ijincho in Yokohama. Eri Kamataki is The president of a small Japanese confectionery company called Ichiban Seika. There was a time when she considered closing her company due to being stuck with conflicting visions with management. Ichiban Kasuga encourages her to keep going, and together they begin to rebuild her company. The first step in this process, is that she sets Ichiban Kasuga as the president of her company, and supports his management as his secretary.
Another one of these winners is Iroha Yanagi, a show girl who works at a bar called Survivor. She meets Kasuga and friends who use the bar as a meeting spot, and becomes popular among the customers due to being a good listener. Then we have Mawa Sumire, the only factory manager for the Romance Factory in Isezaki Ijincho. Her mending skills are unmatched, but the factory lacks much of the equipment it needs. One reason behind this may be because she is a reformed delinquent, and due to her tendency to get fired up when she is making repairs.
Manae Miyakoshi is a woman who works reception at the Ocean Qualification School. She is sincere in her motivation to help all those that come to her to reach their goals. Manae Miyakoshi has good manners, and has secretly won the hearts of many. There are even rumors within Yakuza 7 that some people enroll in the school just to see her. Ririka is a level-headed woman who works the counter at Hello Work. She’s the one who helps Kasuga and his friends get new jobs. She is straightforward, and will tell you her opinion regardless of who you are, or what position you hold. Kasuga’s decision to do things at his own leisure drives her mad.
